Siobhan Magnus to Perform at Scallop Fest

The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Siobhan Magnus will perform at the 42nd Annual Bourne Scallop Festival, Saturday night, September 24th, 8pm on the Main Stage.
The Festival has always had a commitment to promoting local talent and who better epitomizes exceptional local talent than Siobhan Magnus!
A native of Barnstable, MA, locals have known her as the apprentice glassblower and lead singer of her rock group Lunar Valve. In 2010 Siobhan shot to fame as the most talented and artistic contestant on the ninth season of FOX’s American Idol. As 2011 takes shape, Siobhan is working on her first solo album; Beatrice Dream which is expected to be released this fall.
Siobhan recently appeared at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in what Tim Miller of the Cape Cod Times says, “…the pride of Marstons Mills (and beyond) delivered one of the best shows I’ve ever seen here, and I’ve seen plenty.”
Marie Oliva, President & CEO, of the Chamber said, “The rave reviews will certainly be an enticement for people to come Saturday night. We are fortunate that Siobhan was available for what will be a show stopper.”
For the second time in 5 years the Bourne Scallop Festival, has been designated as one of the Top 100 Events in North America by the American Bus Association. Chosen by a panel of judges who are experienced tourism professionals, they select events that offer an excellent entertainment value to both tour groups and individual travelers from around the world.
The 42nd Annual Bourne Scallop Festival is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 23, 24 and 25th, 2011. Gates open at 10 am each morning. General Admission $5; Children 12 and under admitted Free!
