Our volunteers make the Festival a truly special Community Event!
Nautical Whalers Parrot Head Club of Southern Massachusetts Inc.
More than 500 volunteer their services. The success of the Scallop Festival would not be possible without their contributions. Our volunteers come from all over the region. Local residents, public officials, non-profit organizations, school groups, and teams from area businesses volunteer for at least a four-hour shift on the grounds.
Each volunteer receives one of our Bourne Scallop Festival Volunteer T-Shirt – these shirts are not for sale and can only be obtained by volunteering! In addition, volunteers receive free admission and a Scallop or Chicken Dinner.
Volunteers help greet visitors, assist folks on where they need to go, serve our famous scallop dinners and cook hamburgers and hot dogs for the kiddies.
